Pricing

Editing . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .  0.012/word (using Word's word count feature)

This works out to about $3.00 per page (250 words per page). I changed
to a charge-per-word structure because I was receiving manuscripts in a
wide variety of formats--single spaced, double spaced, and even verse.
It was impossible to calculate fairly on a page-count basis.

This consists of a basic edit for content and errors from a clean manuscript.
By this I mean that if your project requires extensive revision (restructuring
paragraphs, sentences, etc.), I will contact you. At this point, you will have
the option of terminating the edit or paying 0.017 per word for the project.

Final Proofing . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 0.01/word (using Word's word count feature)

This would consist of a final read-through of the clean, revised manuscript.

Rush Job . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 0.02/word (using Word's word count feature)

In a perfect world, there would be no need for a rush job. In our
imperfect world, I realize it sometimes happens. Contact me and I'll
do my best to work with you to meet your needs. This would consist
of the same Editing service detailed above, but in an expedited manner.

A down payment of 1/3 is required as a non-refundable deposit. This becomes a kill fee if either of us decides not to proceed with the project. At that point, files will be returned, no more work will be done, and no more fees will be charged. This down payment secures your spot on my schedule. The balance of your account is due upon completion.
